1 YEAR IN LOS ANGELES
An established editor told me directly during my AE training: “Move to LA.” I’m a notoriously indecisive person, and that was the push I needed. I decided to stop putting roadblocks in front of myself, stop waiting for the perfect job or the perfect industry conditions, stop being afraid of change. January 2026 marked my first year down in Los Angeles! I moved here completely blind, following a dream and a (low-paying) job opportunity, but I felt the need to act on the chances I got. It’s been a rocky road, but a beautiful view since.
Since making the big jump, I’ve been lucky enough to work for 2 post houses and one union production. I’ve met some incredible people and editors I’ve looked up to for years. No matter what happens next, I’m glad I took the risk!
